Chocolate can be dangerous for your pet!
It's a FACT!
Chocolate contains "Theobromine" that is toxic to dogs in sufficient amounts.
It does take a fairly large amount depending on the size and weight of your dog, and dark or bakers chocolate contain a higher amount of the toxin than does milk chocolate, but who wants to take the chance?
Even in smaller amounts it can cause digestion problems for 10 to 24 hours!
Keep your candy and chocolate far out of reach of your pet.
Signs of Theobromine poisoning include:
*Hyperactivity and restlessness.
*Irritability, diarrhea and frequent urination.
*Elevated heart rate and excessive panting.
*Vomiting and muscle spasms.
If you suspect your dog has gotten into your candy, call your vet right away for treatment options!
Tip: Hot concrete or asphalt can burn your pets pads on walks!
